Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

The short version: CrossBlock does not collect, sell or share personal data. The longer version is below, written without legal filler.

We collect nothing

CrossBlock has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting and no advertising identifiers. The extension never sends your browsing history, open tabs, page contents or search queries anywhere.

What stays on your device

The number of blocked requests and your on/off switch are saved in Chrome's local storage so the pop-up can show a count when you reopen it. That data is written to your own machine and removed the moment you delete the extension.

Network requests

The only network traffic the extension causes is the pages you ask Chrome to load, plus the blocking rules that cancel unwanted requests before they leave the browser. CrossBlock itself contacts no server.

This website

The CrossBlock download page sets no cookies and runs no third-party trackers. Hosting may record basic, aggregated request logs (such as file downloads) that cannot be tied back to you personally.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 and no personal information is knowingly gathered from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If the extension ever starts handling personal data, this page is updated before the new version ships, and the date below changes.
